		The convertor box needs to be powered on all the time, otherwise the Tivo will not be able to change channels for scheduled recordings. This is standard for any set top box (cable or satellite) connected... Nov 17, 2009

		1) Yes, with a few caveats. Both Tivos need an active subscription, need to be on the same account, and on the same network subnet to transfer. You can not transfer any programs that have the copy protection... Nov 17, 2009

		The remote TV satellite remote uses RF to change the channels. RF (unlike IR) will go through walls. Tivo needs to control the satellite receiver to change channels. It needs to be located where the satellite... Nov 16, 2009
