Isn't that the new MPEG-4 box? If so it doesn't have TiVo on it. It's DirecTV's own DVR.
You'll likely want to contact them about it.

I am having a similiar problem - I upgraded my DirecTV to the new H20 HD Receiver and none of the IR Codes work anymore. I cannot change channels from the Tivo. I have a stand alone Series 2 and a Humax DVR. Any ideas???
It was working but DirecTV's latest Upgrade 0F03 - (received 12/20) changed Something where it doesn't work anymore.
Any ideas and or help???
Thanks in advance. Dan |

OK, I figured it out. If you have an H20 you need to move the IR Blaster at least two inches from the edge of the receiver. It works only at that distance.
If you put it too close it doesn't work. Good Luck. |

Any updates to this?
I do not wish to purchase the H20 if SA Tivo cannot control it...

I have been searching this on every forum I can find. Some people say the codes for the H10 work on the H20 with the emitter sticking out at least 1 1/2 inches. Others have said, it doesn't work. I haven't bought the new unit yet. I'm waiting for the correct answer. Somebody please try the H10 codes and let us know.

Like walkerkabi, I have also read that the h10 (and d10) ir codes work for the h20. The frustrating thing for me is that everytime somebody mentions this, they fail to disclose the h10 or d10 codes. I'm new to tivo and directv. I suppose the ir codes for those boxes are common knowledge around here. Please, somebody, I'm begging you, post the code(s) for the h10 and/or d10.

I tried 10074-A, B, & C. None of them worked on my H20. And it wasn't as though it worked some of the time. The h20 never responded at all. I tried placing the ir blaster at various distances from the H20.
So I guess until I hear somebody come up with something else for me to try, I'm going to accept the fact that I'm not going to have a solution until D* releases their MPEG4 HD DVR.

Ok, Thanks for all comments. I have finally got the H20 to work with my series 2 TIVO. I did not input any IR codes as I just selected the "DirecTV" manufacturer during TIVO setup. Besides that I was always able to get the H20 to change channels, BUT I had to place the emitter in awkward positions.
Problem:
Seems like the physical dimensions on the H20 box does not accomodate the 2 standard TIVO emitters. Solution: I used 2 Popsicle sticks(one for each emiiter) to extend the reach AND positions of the TIVO emitter. That did the trick now everything works but it looks UGLY. Got popsicle sticks sticking out of my TV stand. oh well... until a better solution comes along I'll have to live with it for now. Good Luck. |

Great. I should have left well enough alone. Now when the new dish comes on Wed, I'll be spending time building a popsicle stick mount. I wonder what is going to happen with my emitter as it is not the dual limb one, but the older style stick on one.....I will post my results Wednesday night.

In a previous post I said I could not get the ir blasters to work with my h20 (with the h10 code, 10074, I think.)
I got my ir blasters from a friend who had an old broken Tivo and didn't need the cables. Considering that the h20 did not respond at all to my attempts to change channels and that others have reported success, I became a little suspicious of these used blasters. So I ordered a brand new ir blaster cable from weaknees.
I am pleased to announce that they work! My tivo can now change channels on the h20. I did not have to position the blasters far from the sensor as some have said they had to do. The channel changing is rather slow, but it will serve my purposes.

Has anyone tried the serial connection from the Tivo to the H20? This used to work great on the old standard definition directv receivers. I currently have an H10 box and this was the first directv box I have had that didn't work with the serial connection. I have to use the IR blasters. All works well. I am upgrading to the new H20 next week and am starting to get a bit concerned based on these posts.
